You can call me Badr (BM) or 穆巴德 or بدر . I am a Beijing based Egyptian photographer. With over a decade of photography experience and multiple awards, exhibitions and media appearances (e.g. my interview with Beijing Daily news paper 北京日报北京日报).
Since early childhood I had a huge passion for nature and wildlife and would spend hours watching and rewatching animal documentaries and magazines.
As I grew up and started travelling, the camera became my best friend, helping me share the beauty I encounter with the rest of the world.
I did a lot of bird and wildlife photography in Egypt and Uganda.
With more time working from home between 2020-2023 I had more chance to go out and around Beijing and discovered there was a parallel universe full of beaty, love, drama and action happening outside our doorsteps. The universe of the birds of Beijing.
I tracked them, learned their behaviors, their feeding habits, mating seasons and dances, their territorial drama, their migration all while sharpening my photography skills to catch the right moments and share them with you.
Every time I go out to do bird photography, It takes me to a different planet away from the hustle and bustle and pressures of life. Wildlife photography is truly therapeutic, and I want to transmit this gift to the world.
